Children's Liturgy of the Word
Each Sunday at the 9:00 AM Mass, children, 4-10 years old, are called to the altar for a special blessing.  The children are then accompanied by catechists to classrooms to hear the Word of God at age appropriate levels.  The children return to Mass at the presentation of the gifts.

First Eucharist & Reconciliation Preparation
The sacramental preparation for the children of the parish is an experience-filled time for both child and parent. It is a two-year preparation period which stresses Eucharistic participation, prayer and celebration.

Family and parish experiences are necessary and important. All parents, along with their child, take part in family preparation for Reconciliation, First Eucharist, and a Retreat Day prior to the celebration of First Eucharist.  Sacramental preparation is for life.  It is the beginning of a relation with Jesus.

First Reconciliation is usually celebrated in the fall.  First Eucharist is celebrated in the spring during the Easter Season at a Sunday liturgy or in a group celebration on one of the Saturdays in May.

FAITH FORMATION PROGRAM
(GRADES K-8)

HOW DO I SET UP AN ACCOUNT AND REGISTER CHILDREN FOR FALL CLASSES?

Welcome to our new Secure Online Registration Site. We are delighted that this system will allow us to go paperless & to communicate in a more effective and efficient manner with the families that we serve. Once you register and set up an account you will have the ability to update, correct and/or change information when necessary.

BEFORE YOU REGISTER:
1.  Review the calendar dates for each session and choose the session that works best for your family schedule to avoid absences due to conflicts.
2.  Special requests regarding class placement must be noted in the space provided at the time of registration. Last minute switches create chaos, large classes and an imbalance of boys to girls.
3.  The success of our program depends on the generosity of our volunteers. By working together we can provide a safe and positive experience of Church for our children so that they can learn and grow in their faith.
Click on VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES to view the various job descriptions, time commitment and requirements.
As a token of our appreciation Catechists and Co-Catechists receive One Free Tuition for the class they teach.
Co-Catechists are two Catechists who are both present and share the responsibilities of lesson planning and teaching a class.
