Each year, parishioners of St. Patrick Parish reach out to those in need through a special ministry called "Christmas in a Box." Since 1986, parishioners have acted as anonymous "Santa Clauses" providing things needed for Christmas celebrations to families and individuals in need locally in Chatham as well as Our Lady of Victories, Our Lady of Lourdes, and to Catholic Charities in Paterson. Last year, our parish touched the lives of over 900 individuals through our Christmas in a Box program! This year we will continue to assist families, veterans, senior citizens, and children. Please consider participating in this very special outreach service program. Let your kids help! Work with another family to provide for a large family in need! Sign-up to sponsor a child, senior citizen or veteran to provide a gift for them to open this Christmas! There are also families in need ranging from two to nine members. Our school is participating by sponsoring many of the larger families. Drop off for all gifts will be Sunday, December 8. The electronic sign-up to sponsor any of these individuals or families will go live early November. We will email everyone a link to the sign-up site. If you prefer not to use our electronic sign-up, please call the parish office at 973-635-0625 and we will help you select someone and give you all the information needed. Every year, we collect items requested by local charities to help make the Christmas Season bright for those people supported by these charities. This year, we will be collecting items for Family Promise of Morris County. Family Promise is dedicated to supporting families and individuals experiencing homelessness and food insecurity in Morris County through shelter, housing and outreach. Please select a gift tag from the Giving Tree located in the Narthex of the Church and fulfill the wish listed on the tag. Then bring back the present with your gift tag and leave it under the Giving Tree or drop it off at the Parish Office Monday throughThursday 9 am - 3 pm. Thank you for your generosity!
