The Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults (RCIA) is the process for non-Catholics who are interested in (or even just thinking about) joining the Catholic Church. It is also for those Catholics who are not fully initiated in their faith – that is – they have not yet received Eucharist and/or Confirmation. Catholics who are curious and simply want to learn more about their faith are also very welcome. Sessions are held most Sundays from 10:45 am to 12:00 noon in the South Room of the Parish Office building. Deacon Mark serves as the main moderator for the sessions which include both reflection on the Sunday scripture readings and discussions of Church teachings using the Catechism as a resource. Additional parishioners who are part of the RCIA team also join the discussion and provide support for those who are in the process.
